The difference between access point and wireless router
Whats the difference between Access Point (AP) at Wireless Broadband Router (WBR)? Because it seems that both of them almost equal in terms of form and function. Which of the two is the best? If it is AP, can it be used for sharing internet access?
Answer:
As far as I know, AP have the similar function with switch, a connection divider. The difference is, switch uses cable, and AP is wireless. So its unlikely an AP can operate as internet sharing device.
Wireless broadband router (WBR) has the advantage of routing function. Which one is the best? The best is the one which suitable for your needs.
