DDR2 667 motherboard fitted with DDR2 800 memory

Gambar
I have DFI Infinity Ultra2 motherboard. Manual said that it supports DDR2 667MHz memory or DDR2 PC-5300. Can I put DDR2 PC-6400 there? Because have read somewhere that there is a DDR2 667 Mushkin memory (XP2) which has the ability to work in the PC-6400 (800MHz). Answer: I dont think there is a problem with it. Only, your memory still works at PC-5300. Unless this memory is set to overclock at the BIOS. Even though actually the memory modules is not overclocked. For example, I use Kingston DDR 333MHz , running at 500MHz with the stock 2.6v vDIMM. Still pretty cool. As long as you have backup, or spare memory modules, it is fine with that. Broken memory modules will not ruins your data in the harddrive, only the current data which you still working on when the memory died. Some memory vendors give lifetime warranty for the modules. As long as it still being produced, youre save. Anyway, overclocking DDR PC-5300 to PC-6400 is not an extreme thing.

Bad Sector repair with Norton Utilities

Can we repair bad sectors on a harddrive using Norton Utility? If I used HDD Regenerator, how much is the percentage of my harddisk can be repaired? For your information, the hard drive I used is a Parallel ATA harddisk with capacity of 20GB. Answer: I do not think it can do the job. Its better for you to try with hard disk maintenance programs that are made by hard drive manufacturers itself. But if you want to try with Norton Utilities , go ahead. Use Norton Disk Doctor feature. Or you can try Norton SystemWorks. It has more features. Ive tried on several hard disk, bad sector it could lose 100 percent, but after 2 months, its troubled again.

DDR2 DDR3 VGA with DDR RAM

Does AGP video card with DDR2 or DDR3 can be used by a computer with main memory is still using regular DDR type? What is the difference between DDR video card with DDR2 and DDR3? Answer: As long as the available VGA slot on the motherboard is AGP, not a problem. VGA memory with RAM on the motherboard are not directly related to each other and do not affect performance. Similarly, each with speed. Unconnected. It could be memory DDR2 or DDR3 VGA work on the clock 1000MHz, although the main memory on the motherboard only the DDR ordinary working on 400MHz clock. Differences between DDR memory VGA with DDR2 and DDR3 is the technology. DDR2 and DDR3 is better, the new technology. Advantage is its ability to work at a faster frequency, but also and more efficient in power consumption. Also the heat generated also lower compared with DDR memory, especially when working in the same frequency. Well, the performance of video memory is better this could certainly affect the overall performance,...

Dual channel memory with large capacity

The memory installed on my computer right now is a pair of memory each 1GB. Of course, with the support dual-channel memory on the motherboard that I use, I can activate the dual-channel memory. Now I want to add more memory with a pair of memory that is not similar to an existing one. As for what I want to install a memory capacity of each 2GB. Well, what I wanted to ask if I was still able to enjoy the facility with a pair of dual channel 1GB memory and a pair of 2GB memory? One more thing. If I attach four memory chips with a total 6GB it, if any effect on computer performance? Please enlightenment, thanks. Answer: In the latest chipset chipset-installation of two pairs of memory that each pair has a different capacity now no longer a problem. Unlike the early presence of the platform that supports dual-channel memory. For example, weve also done tests with the same case as you, ie two 1GB memory chips paired with two 2GB memory chips berchipset on Intel X38 motherboards and dua...
